New Zealand Cricket Signs Six-Year Broadcasting Deal With Sky Television

New Zealand Cricket's coffers "are bulging after signing what's understood to be a significant new broadcasting deal with Sky Television," according to Marc Hinton of STUFF. NZC announced it had signed a six-year deal to continue its relationship with the pay-TV company and it is said "to be for record numbers." With the World Cup being staged in Australia and New Zealand next year and the Black Caps flying high on the back of a string of impressive performances, "the timing of the negotiations was propitious for NZC." The new deal "gives Sky the rights to the Blackcaps' international matches and NZC's domestic competitions" through March '20. NZC CEO David White said that "the new agreement would take full advantage of NZC's soon-to-be-announced Future Tours Programme" (STUFF, 8/5).
