Media Notes: Swiss Public Broadcaster, Football Federation Extend Deal Until '18

Swiss public broadcaster SRG and the Swiss Football Federation (SFV) have signed an early extension to their cooperation until the end of the '17-18 season. The SRG acquired TV and online broadcast rights to all men's national team friendlies in Switzerland and all games of the Swiss Cup, as well as additional commercial rights. The SRG also received broadcast right to all women's national team games and youth national team games (U15-U21), as well as the Swiss Football Awards (SRG). ... More than 1.6 million users have downloaded the World Cup app of German public broadcaster ARD, "Sportschau FIFA WM App" (ARD). ... The 35th National Games, which will take place in Kerala, India in January, have three companies "bidding for the media monitoring assignment." Sources said that the three companies are Mumbai-based Esha Media Research, Delhi based IMM-Perfect Relations and Datamation Consultants. The technical bids were opened on 10 July at Thiruvananthapuram (INDIAN TELEVISION, 7/14).
