Marketplace Roundup: Schalke Extends Sponsorship Deal With Bauhaus For Another Year

Bundesliga side FC Schalke has extended its sponsorship deal with home improvement store chain Bauhaus for another year until June 30. Bauhaus will continue to receive logo presence at the Veltins Arena on cam carpets and other ad displays (Schalke). ... Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has renewed its cooperation with the Austrian tourism region Kitzbüheler Alpen - Brixental until the end of the '17-18 season. The tourism region has been a partner of the club since '12 (Borussia Dortmund). ... Man City "have released their new home kit" for the '14-15 season. The new strip "has dark blue cuffs and collar with a v-neck design." The new shorts "are blue with a dark blue stripe while the home socks are blue with the dark blue band at the top" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 7/10). ... The Scottish Golf Union and U.S.-based All Square, the social network for golf, have partnered in a new "go social" campaign. The SGU is working with Scotland's 576 golf clubs to help them reach out and engage int'l golfers in Ryder Cup years and All Square, which is establishing a business base in St. Andrews, is seen as an ideal platform (SGU).

ADIDAS IN, ADIDAS OUT: Polish side Slask Wroclaw "is poised to sign a new technical sponsorship contract" with adidas, replacing German rival Puma, which has been the Polish club's kit sponsor since the '09-10 season. The deal will increase the Polish portfolio of adidas which, in the '13-14 season, "supplied its gear to seven Ekstraklasa sides." Puma "loses its last technical sponsorship in the Polish top tier" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 7/10). ... Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad "have signed a new kit deal" with Italian sports apparel firm Macron, replacing adidas as main technical sponsor. The sponsorship "is for three years" and starts from the '14-15 season. No financial details "have been released." The deal is Macron's "first move into the Bulgarian market" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 7/10).
