Average Of Just 80,000 Viewers Watch Men's Wimbledon Final On Sky Deutschland

German pay-TV channel Sky Deutschland "recorded a significant decline in ratings for its Wimbledon coverage," according to Alexander Krei of DWDL. Saturday's women's final between Eugenie Bouchard and Petra Kvitova attracted an average of 40,000 viewers. In the target demographic 14-49, Kvitova's straight-set victory had a market share of 0.4%. In comparison, last year's women's final, which featured German Sabine Lisicki, attracted 600,000 viewers and had a market share of more than 8% in the target demographic. Sunday's men's final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer was watched by an average of 80,000 viewers. Djokovic's five-set victory obtained a market share of 0.8% in the target demographic.

BRITISH GP: German free-to-air TV channel RTL attracted 4.18 million viewers to its broadcast of Sunday's British F1 Grand Prix. The race from Silverstone, which was won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, had a market share of 30.5%. In the target demographic, the RTL broadcast was watched by 1.28 million viewers and obtained a 24% share. Sky, which also aired the race, attracted 410,000 viewers. The pay-TV channel recorded a market share of 4.1% in the target demographic (DWDL, 7/7).
