Financial Problems Could Force RTVE To Shut Down Sports Channel Teledeporte

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE announced in a statement that it is "considering shutting down sports channel Teledeporte," according to Bernat Pujol Alemany of MUNDO DEPORTIVO. RTVE's "financial instability has brought about numerous cuts." The broadcaster has created an "Efficiency Plan" to improve its audience (down 10%) and "pursue adjustments in three big areas: staffing, general expenses and structural expenses."
