The NRL’s takeover of the Knights from former Owner NATHAN TINKLER "has coincided with a return to form for a team beset with drama off the field this year and which has struggled accordingly on it" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 6/29). ... The Caterham F1 Team confirmed Indonesia's RIO HARYANTO will drive on day two of the sixth 2014 F1 test at Silverstone on July 9, joining WILL STEVENS, who will drive day one (Caterham  F1). ... New ManU Manager LOUIS VAN GAAL will be on the club's summer tour "even if the Netherlands reach the World Cup final." ManU heads to the U.S. on July 18 "for a five-match tour. However, Van Gaal, 62, "could still be in Brazil" until July 13 if the Netherlands goes all the way. Assistant RYAN GIGGS "will take training until Van Gaal returns, but the Dutchman has assured club officials he will be on the flight to Los Angeles" (BBC, 6/30).
