German National Team Players To Receive $410K Each For Winning World Cup Title

The German Football Federation (DFB) will pay a bonus of €300,000 ($410,000) "to each of the 23 players should the team win the World Cup title," according to the DPA. DFB President Wolfgang Niersbach said, "We would like to pay out the bonus." The DFB would pay a total of €6.9M ($9.4M) "in bonuses for Germany's fourth World Cup title." If you add the €4.26M that the federation "paid to a total of 31 players for the successful qualification for the World Cup finals in Brazil," the bonus amount would total €11.16M ($15.2M) (DPA, 6/29).
