Suspended Board of Control for Cricket in India President N. SRINIVASAN "is set to take over as the chairman" of the Int'l Cricket Council at this week’s annual conference in Melbourne. BCCI Secretary SANJAY PATEL confirmed that Srinivasan "was going to Melbourne." Patel: "There is no Supreme Court bar on him. Both of us are going to Melbourne." A top cricket official said a few days ago that Srinivasan’s ascension as chairman "was merely a formality." The official said, “It is a 15-minute process, that’s all” (THE HINDU, 6/22). ... Outgoing Serie A Parma President TOMMASO GHIRARDI "has insisted that he won't change his mind regarding the club's sale." The Crociati chief revealed last month that "following their expulsion from the Europa League he would put the Ennio Tardini outfit up for sale" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 6/23). ... Medical files purporting to relate to former F1 driver MICHAEL SCHUMACHER "are being offered for sale, his management team has warned." Manager SABINE KEHM said they were "clearly stolen" and warned criminal charges would be pressed if such "confidential files" were bought or published (BBC, 6/23).
