League Notes: Jarno Trulli To Race In Formula E With Own TrulliGP Team

Former F1 driver Jarno Trulli announced he is to form and manage a new team for the FIA Formula E Championship entitled TrulliGP Formula E Team -- with which he will race in the all-electric series. Following approval from the FIA, TrulliGP has been granted the 10th team entry for the Formula E Championship, following the withdrawal of Drayson Racing. Drayson Technologies will be entering into a supply and sponsorship arrangement with TrulliGP to be the squad’s principal technology partner (Formula E). ... The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) confirmed that TBB Trier will participate in the league's '14-15 campaign. The club has fulfilled the league's license requirements within the deadline set by the BBL (BBL). ... The Metropolitan Police said that Tottenham fans will no longer be threatened with prosecution if they chant the word "Yid" at matches. The "Yid Army" chant has become a feature of matches at the club's White Hart Lane stadium, "which is located near one of London's largest Jewish areas, and at away matches" (REUTERS, 6/18). ... The Australian Football League "has further reduced the role of runners, telling clubs they may not be used to coach players on the ground, direct set plays or position themselves close to stoppages." Clubs were told that while their runner is still allowed to deliver messages from the coaches box, re-position players or call them to the bench, they cannot "instruct, direct of coach players on 'in-play' situations" without risking a fine (CANBERRA TIMES, 6/18).
