The pre-game coverage, which started at 4:10pm, was watched by 8.14 million viewers and had a 47.2% share. In the target demographic, the show attracted 3.3 million viewers and had a 51.8% share. The game between Iran and Nigeria, which started at 9pm, was watched by 9.48 million viewers and had a 33.6% market share. In the target demographic, the 0-0 draw had a 39.4% share as 4.4 million tuned in. The day's last game between the U.S. and Ghana recorded a 47.5% share as 3.61 million viewers tuned in starting at midnight (QUOTENMETER, 6/17).
GAELIC SPORTS: The IRISH INDEPENDENT reported Sky Sports' Gaelic Athletic Association viewership "has more than halved in seven days."
