Almost 10M Watch Germany's Final Test Match Ahead Of World Cup Against Armenia

German public broadcaster ZDF "attracted almost 10 million viewers to its broadcast of the friendly between Germany and Armenia on Friday evening," according to the DPA. A total of 9.95 million viewers tuned in to watch the game starting at 8:45pm. The number equaled a market share of 37.8%. Germany won its last test match before the World Cup 6-1 (DPA, 6/7).

FRENCH OPEN:
QUOTENMETER's Sidney Schering reported pan-European broadcaster Eurosport "recorded above average ratings for its broadcast of the women's French Open semifinal between Andrea Petkovic and Simona Halep on Thursday." The match, which started at 5:15pm, attracted an average of 310,000 viewers. The number translated into a market share of 2.8%. In the target demographic, Halep's win obtained a market share of 1.2% as almost 50,000 viewers tuned in.

PLAYOFFS: German free-to-air TV channel Sport1 received satisfying ratings for its broadcast of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) playoff semifinal game between Bayern Munich and Oldenburg on Thursday. The decisive Game 5 attracted 270,000 viewers and had a 1% share. In the target demographic, Bayern's 88-63 win obtained a 1.9% share as 180,000 viewers tuned in (QUOTENMETER, 6/6).
