    The World Cup teams with the largest Twitter followings are Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, followed by the U.S. in fourth place and Spain in fifth, according to LA AFICION. Brazil is No. 1 with 1,409,822 followers and is followed by Mexico (1,407,125), Colombia (765,847), the U.S. (679,895), Spain (575,293) and Japan (484,420). The top two players in terms of Twitter following are Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo (26,453,487) and Brazil's Neymar (10,706,826). The players with the largest followings after Ronaldo and Neymar are England's Wayne Rooney and the Spanish trio of Andrés Iniesta, Gerard Piqué and Xabi Alonso (LA AFICION, 6/3).
