World Cup Victory To Mean $980,400 Bonus For Each La Roja Player, Up 20% From '10

Each player on the Spanish national team will receive a bonus of €720,000 ($980,400) if La Roja wins the World Cup, according to Manel Bruña of MUNDO DEPORTIVO. This "would represent a 20% increase" from '10, when each player received €600,000 when the team beat the Netherlands in the World Cup final. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) would receive a total of €25M ($34M) from FIFA in bonus money for winning the Cup. Each Spanish player will receive a bonus of €360,000 ($490,200) for finishing second, €180,000 ($245,100) for reaching the semifinals and €120,000 ($163,400) for reaching the quarterfinals (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 6/4).
