Spanish Club Osasuna Fined $8,000 For May 18 Collapsed Railing Incident

The Spanish Football Federation's (RFEF) Competition Committee has fined Osasuna, which will compete in the Spanish second division next season, €6,000 ($8,160) for an incident during the club's La Liga game against Real Betis on May 18, according to EFE. That match was halted for 35 minutes after a railing "collapsed in the stadium, injuring several fans when they tumbled on to the pitch." The club was also "warned that its stadium will be closed in the case of another incident" (EFE, 5/29).
