ESPN and Fox Sports will "come together" during the World Cup for "Los Masters," a show that will be headed by ESPN's José Ramón Fernández and Fox Sports' Raúl Orvañanos. The show will be a "debate, analysis and recap program" that will also include ESPN's Zague, David Faitelson, Heriberto Murrieta, Rafael Puente y Carolina Padrón. Fox Sports will be represented on the show by André Marín, Alejandro Blanco, Alberto García Aspe and Marion Reimers. The program will air on both ESPN and Fox Sports and will debut June 12, the day of the World Cup opener (ESPN Deportes). In San José, Allan Andino wrote the World Cup and the "strategies of the broadcasters who will carry it will unite channels that are historically competitive." This is "the case" with Los Masters, "which will bring top ESPN and Fox Sports figures together in one space." Fernández and Orvañanos will once again collaborate 20 years after they worked together for Imevisión. Fernández said, "Our two channels getting together will benefit the people and break up the monopoly of TV Abierta" (NACION, 5/27).
