National Basketball League Melbourne United co-Owner Michael Slepoy has asked Melbourne Tigers fans "to give the renamed team a second look next NBL season." Malaysian millionaire Tony Fernandes has put his Caterham F1 team up for sale, seeking about $589M for all assets of the Britain-based parent company, a report said. Fernandes, who also owns airline AirAsia and the League Championship club Queens Park Rangers, "had warned in January that he would stop funding the F1 team unless its performance improved." Citing an unnamed source, financial daily Malaysia's Edge on Sunday said that Fernandes "planned to offload the group's assets, adding that an information memorandum for the sale was being circulated in the Middle East" (AFP, 5/26).
