Former Neymar Partial Rights Holder DIS Suing Player, Both Clubs Involved In Transfer

DIS, the company which owned 40% of Barcelona striker Neymar's rights before he transferred from Santos last summer, "will take immediate legal action against Santos, Barcelona and Neymar to try to make him pay what DIS considers the appropriate percentage of the transfer fee," according to Sergi Font of MARCA. A DIS official said, "We have received all the information that we requested from Santos and Barcelona. But we have received nothing from Neymar or his father's company, N&N, which we feared." DIS is "claiming that it is owed 40% of what was paid to sign Neymar." The DIS official said, "It is like buying a house and the commission from the sale being higher than the value of the property" (MARCA, 5/26).
