Serie A Launches Tender Process For Domestic Broadcasting Rights

Serie A has announced a tender process for domestic media rights. The tender expires June 5 and covers 380 matches from '15-16 through the '17-'18 season. Several innovations were proposed. They are exploitation rights through digital terrestrial or satellite platforms and primary rights for exploitation through online and audio-visual platforms. An offering structured by matches, covering a certain number of fixtures, but no more than 35% of the championship. An offering for direct exploitation containing live broadcast rights, reserved for licensees offering mobile content. An ancillary rights offering, designed to add to editorial content and allow for differentiation of the core packages. The tender was launched by partner Infront Sports & Media (Infront).
