This is the "second time in a little more than a year" that Li graces the magazine's cover, having "previously been featured on the cover of TIME's 2013 TIME 100 issue, the magazine's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world." The feature, titled "The Passion Of Li Na," is focused on the player's "inspirational journey to achieving the pinnacle of success in professional tennis and her deep-rooted relationship with the Chinese people that have looked up to her for a decade." TIME defines Li to "be more than a global sports icon -- she inspires millions of Chinese as a symbol of independence and freedom" (CHINA DAILY, 5/17). ... Arsenal Manager ARSÈNE WENGER will "sign a new contract imminently after his side overcame Hull City 3-2 in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium."
