Marketplace Roundup: German Field Hockey Federation Signs Deal With BASF

The German Field Hockey Federation (DHB) has agreed to a new partnership with chemical company BASF. The two parties signed a deal through '20. As part of the deal, BASF's logo will be featured on the collars of the national team and the U21 team and on the teams' training wear. In addition, BASF will receive ad space on boards during national team games (DHB). ... Through Corona, beer brand Grupo Modelo will "give 1,000 Mexican football fans the opportunity to travel to the World Cup to support El Tri." Corona's "campaign in support of the Mexican national team World Cup challenge is called, 'The same passion unites us.'" Grupo Modelo Marketing Dir Susana de la Portilla said, "We have created the biggest promotion in our history, in which we will take more than 1,000 Mexicans to conquer this [Brazilian] territory with our spirit" (LA AFICION, 5/17). ... Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has extended its partnership with regional energy supplier Mainova AG until June 30, 2016. The company has been a partner of the club since '02 and will continue to be featured on various promotional products (Eintracht Frankfurt). ... Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) club Frankfurt Skyliners has extended its partnership with Mainova AG for another two years until the end of the '15-16 season. The company has been a partner of the club since '08 (Frankfurt Skyliners). ... The Indonesia Open Superseries Premier announced Bank Central Asia as the new event sponsor replacing blibli.com (JAKARTA GLOBE, 5/16). ... SAIC Motor signed on as a partner and sponsor of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games and will operate 300 "green" buses during the Games (Nanjing 2014). ... The French Grand Prix and Dorna Sports will extend their collaboration for a further five years, from '17-21 (MotoGP). ... U.K facilities management event Facilities Show announced that a major sponsor in De-Ice -- one of the U.K.’s longest-established and leading winter gritting and snow clearance specialists -- will be hosting the new De-Ice Arena. To celebrate the World Cup taking place in Brazil, the arena will become a 400 square meter football stadium that will host a variety of entertainment and networking opportunities (UBM Live).
