    Aston Villa Owner Randy Lerner said that the EPL club is up for sale.

    EPL side Aston Villa Owner Randy Lerner confirmed that "he has put the Midlands club up for sale," according to Brendan McLoughlin of the LONDON TIMES. There "had been mounting speculation surrounding a potential takeover of Villa," whom Lerner bought for £62.6M ($106M) in '06, of late, with at least one American consortium rumored to be interested in a £200M ($337M) deal. Last month Lerner had vowed to address the issue come the end of the season and, in a statement less than 24 hours after the campaign’s conclusion, he confirmed he has "engaged Bank of America Merrill Lynch to advise on the sale of Aston Villa."
