Nadel Architects Designs New Five-Venue Sports Complex In Dalian, China

Nadel Architects has designed the $1.5B Dalian Sports Center, featuring five major sports venues, a 30-story Kempinski hotel and conference center and a 40,500-square-meter training facility and office building in China. It is the world's first venue with all buildings of this scale in one site. The venues include a 61,000-seat football stadium, an 18,000-seat indoor arena managed by AEG, a 9,600-seat tennis stadium, a 5,000-seat natatorium, a 3,000-seat baseball stadium, a research facility and living quarters. It will be a mixed-use center (Hoyt).
