Football Notes: Torino Players To Receive $2.7M If Team Qualifies For Euro Competition

Serie A side Torino’s players "are set for a windfall" totaling €2M ($2.7M) in bonuses, if they can qualify the club for European competition. Between them, the players will receive a total of €2M "through clauses triggered in their contracts, if they can reach the continent for next season" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 4/9). ... Nigerian national football team coach Stephen Keshi will "get his four-month salary arrears following the resolve of the Nigeria Football Federation" to offset the salaries of the Eagles technical crew ahead of the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup. The federation "blamed the delay on the late release of fund from the federal government" (SUN NEWS ONLINE, 4/9).
