Rome's Stadio Olimpico Up For Euro 2020, San Siro Not Considered As Venue

Milan's San Siro "will not be considered as a venue" for Euro 2020, but Rome’s Stadio Olimpico "is an option," according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. Italy has "put themselves forward, but only with the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and not also the [San Siro] in Milan." Italy National Olympic Committee President Giovanni Malagò said, “Roma is going forward with its candidacy, while Milan is no longer on the table. The Olimpico is the only arena with the requisite characteristics demanded by UEFA for these international competitions" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 4/8).
