Marketplace Roundup: Manchester United Agrees To Partnership With Korea's Ottogi

ManU agreed to a multi-year deal with Korean food company Ottogi to become an official partner in South Korea. ManU's crest and logo will appear on Ottogi products in South Korea (ManU). ... Cricket Scotland and life and pensions company Royal London agreed to a naming-rights deal for the one-day int'l between Scotland and England at Mannofield on May 9. Last year, Royal London secured a four-year deal with ECB to become the headline sponsor of one-day cricket at int'l, county and recreational levels (Cricket Scotland). ... The German Football Federation (DFB) "has agreed to a deal with insurance company Allianz to become a premium partner of the women's Bundesliga." The company's logo "will be featured on the sleeves of all Bundesliga jerseys." The deal has a reported value in the "low seven-digit euro range" (SID, 4/4). ... Fragrance brand Davidoff Cool Water "has signed a deal to become the title sponsor of Windsurfing World Cup event in Sylt," Germany from Sept. 26-Oct. 5 (WINDSURFING-JOURNAL, 4/2). ... The German Handball Bundesliga (HBL) "has failed to find a replacement for Deutsche Lufthansa as the title sponsor of the German Cup's Final-Four tournament." It "will be the first time in 10 years that the event will not have a title sponsor." HBL Managing Dir Frank Bohmann said, "We weren't able to find an adequate successor for Lufthansa in the short amount of time." The Final Four will take place in Hamburg on April 12-13 (SID, 4/4). ... The Singapore Badminton Association "renewed its partnership with leading China sports brand Li-Ning." The four-year deal, worth $4.5M, "will see members of the Singapore national badminton teams wear and use Li-Ning apparel and equipment." Part of the sponsorship will also go toward "monthly incentives for national players, who can also receive one-off cash incentives for medal achievements at international tournaments" (STRAITS TIMES, 4/4).
