Media Notes: One World Sports Renews OneAsia Golf Tour Rights

One World Sports has secured exclusive multiplatform North American rights to carry this year's tournaments from the OneAsia Golf Tour. The OneAsia Golf Tour is comprised of tournaments throughout the Asia-Pacific region annually. One World Sports will carry 10 events live and in HD this year beginning with the Indonesia PGA Championship held this weekend. One World Sports will also present a one-hour highlight show after each day's action. The tournament will be broadcast daily in three- to five-hour programming blocks over the four-day tournament (One World Sports). ... The FA of Singapore said on Tuesday that the live telecast of the Malaysian Super League match between the LionsXII and Perak on the same evening has been cancelled "due to technical and logistical issue faced by the host broadcaster" (STRAITS TIMES, 3/25). ... ESPN Int'l and ESPN Deportes were honored with nine Telly Awards, including "Destino Futbol El Viaje De San Mario" and "Capitales Del Futbol: Londres" (ESPN). ... Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is "one of the few La Liga coaches" with a Twitter account -- @MrAncelotti. Ancelotti recently updated his account by "limiting the accounts he follows from more than 50 to just one, Real Madrid's official team account." This decision "could be related to his account being hacked in February" (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 3/24). ... Barcelona has introduced a new app called "FCB Trivia Fans" that will allow "fans to show off their knowledge of the club." The app, which is free, was developed by Etermax and will be available for iOS and Android devices (SPORT, 3/26). ... Argentina's "Fútbol para Todos" ("Football for All") program, which provides Argentine citizens with free TV viewing of football, "keeps giving people something to discuss." Commentator Marcelo Araujo has left the program. Araujo: "There is no turning back" (LOS ANDES, 3/26).
