German Football League To Launch Official Secondary Ticket Market In The Fall

The 36 football clubs of Germany's top two divisions "decided to launch an official secondary ticket market in the fall," according to the SID. The online platform "will make it easier for ticket holders to resell their tickets and combats the numerous illegal and semi-illegal traders." The German Football League (DFL) said that "at the beginning the official ticket market will link to already existing club offers." The DFL added, "Later on, it will provide a technical solution for interested clubs that currently do not have an offering." The league currently "does not have an official tool for the resell of tickets to Bundesliga or int'l games" (SID, 3/24).
