Int'l Paralympic Committee Athletics Confirms Dates, Venue For 2015 World Championships

Int'l Paralympic Committee Athletics confirmed that the 2015 World Championships will take place at the 15,000 seat Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar, between Nov. 19-28, 2015 following a three-day visit by IPC officials to the Qatari capital city last week. The Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium is home to the Qatar Sports Club whose football team plays in the Qatar Stars League. It was used as a venue for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup and its eight-lane Mondo track annually hosts the first IAAF Diamond League meeting of the year. In addition, IPC Athletics also announced that the eight-lane tracks at Al Saad Club and Al-Arabi Club will be used as training venues for teams (IPC).
