Liga MX Puebla Captain Luis Miguel Noriega Says Players Owed Three Months' Salary

Liga MX side Puebla team captain Luis Miguel Noriega "made public the debt that the club has owed to its players for more than three months," according to Edgar González of LA AFICION. Noriega said on behalf of the players, "We want to express our concern regarding the current situation in which we find ourselves, our agreement with the club and fan base and assume full responsibility, as we have always done. Also, regarding accusations from the media against the players and coaches over a lack of professionalism and our president's claim that the roster is only owed two weeks' pay, we want to make it clear that between a month-and-a-half and three months' salary is owed from the months of November, January and February, in addition to bonuses from the previous season" (LA AFICION, 3/11).
