Frankfurt Offers Horse Racecourse To German Football Federation For Competency Center

The Niederrad horse racecourse in Frankfurt "is about to close down," according to HR ONLINE. The racecourse "is expected to host its final races" in '15. However, the city "has already come up with a new purpose for the area and made an offer to the German Football Federation (DFB)." The DFB "has been looking for a long time for a location to build its new competency center." The DFB's management "selected Frankfurt as its preferred location because the city is also home to its headquarters." The search for a suitable area "has been difficult so far, but the horse racetrack could be the solution." Wulfila Walter, the office manager of Frankfurt Mayor Olaf Cunitz, said, "It's correct.
