Marketplace Roundup: AFL Extends Partnership With Toyota Until 2016

The Australian Football League announced that Toyota will remain the game's premier partner for a further two years following an agreement to renew the ongoing partnership until '16. The announcement was made at the 2014 Toyota AFL Premiership Season launch at the newly developed Adelaide Oval with this year marking 11 years since Toyota joined the AFL as its top tier partner (AFL). ... German Moto3 team Racing Team Germany has agreed to a deal with online printing company Saxoprint as its official title sponsor. The team's new official name is "Saxoprint - RTG" (Racing Team Germany). ... Australian entertainment group Crown Resorts will again be featured on the front of National Rugby League side Melbourne Storm's jersey for the '14 season. The agreement sees the two Melbourne brands enter into the fourth year of their relationship (Melbourne Storm). ... Reliance Communications "has been named the global partner" for the Int'l Cricket Council Twenty20 World Cup, to be held in Bangladesh starting on March 16. Under this partnership, RComm "gets exclusive rights to content from the ICC for its mobile platform." This "includes live coverage of the event on mobile, commentary, analysis and video clips from matches" (Indian BUSINESS STANDARD, 3/7).
