Facility Notes: Sachsenring To Alter Its Turn 11 Ahead Of MotoGP Championship

The Sachsenring racetrack will alter its infamous turn 11 ahead of the MotoGP World Championship race at the German venue on July 13. Turn 11, the first right hand corner after several left hand turns, has been a tricky section of track for riders in the past, so a new corner layout will be introduced to improve safety. For the 2014 German Grand Prix, turn 11 will be altered by mobile curbs made of steel, relocating the racing line and reducing corner speed (MotoGP). ... Mitsubishi Electric announced the installation of five ribbon-board displays measuring 400 meters at Saitama Stadium 2002, home of Japanese football side Urawa Red Diamond. Last year, Mitsubishi installed two new Diamond Vision screens, the largest in any Japanese football stadium (Mitsubishi).
