Media Notes: News Channel N-TV Acquires Highlight Rights For Red Bull Air Race

German news channel n-tv "has acquired highlight broadcast rights for the Red Bull Air Race World Championship" for '14. The channel "will air a 90-minute highlight show on race Sundays starting at 4:10pm" (DWDL, 2/26). ... Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television signed an agreement to cover all Champions Hockey League games involving domestic clubs across the country. The agreement will run from '14-17, accompanying the new league through its first three seasons. SVT will also handle media production for all games that take place in Sweden. SVT's rights include broadcast transmission on all platforms, including terrestrial, cable, broadband Internet and mobile rights on a free and or pay basis. In addition, SVT holds the right to sub-license selected games to third parties (Sveriges Television).
