Media Notes: Barcelona's Official Twitter Accounts Hacked By Syrian Electronic Army

Barcelona's official Twitter accounts were hacked on Tuesday following the club's Champions League win over Man City. The hackers were activists claiming to be the Syrian Electronic Army, who sent messages from Barcelona's Catalan, English and Spanish twitter feeds that said, "Dear FC Barcelona management, don't let the Qatari money funds you, it's full of blood and kill [sic]." The messages remained on the feeds for "some twenty minutes before being finally removed" (London DAILY MIRROR, 2/19). ... ONE World Sports has secured exclusive, multi-platform rights to carry games from the Kontinental Hockey League. The high-definition coverage starts with four regular-season games in February, immediately following the Sochi Winter Games, and continues in April with live or same-day coverage of the league’s two conference finals and championship series. KHL content will be distributed across all the network’s platforms, spanning the linear channel and broadband and mobile via the network’s "Watch ONE World Sports" app (ONE World Sports). ... Chinese online communications, social and entertainment services company Tencent visited the BBC to explore future cooperation around the World Cup in Brazil (Tencent).
