ARD's Broadcast Of Figure Skating Team Event Draws Monday's Top Rating

German public broadcaster ZDF "received top ratings with its Olympics broadcast on Monday," according to Sidney Schering of QUOTENMETER. Monday's most-watched sport was the figure skating team event, which attracted 6.23 million viewers starting at 6pm. The number translated into a market share of 31.9%. In the target demographic 14-49, the figure skating team event was watched by 1.38 million viewers and had a 22.5% share. The men's 12.5km biathlon pursuit race attracted the second-highest viewership. A total of 5.94 million viewers tuned in to watch the event, which started at 3:55pm. ZDF's broadcast obtained a 41% share. In the target demographic, the win by Martin Fourcade attracted 1.2 million viewers and had a 27.6% share. The summary of German Alpine skier Maria Höfl-Riesch's Gold Medal run in the women's super-combined event was watched by 4.33 million viewers starting at 7:20pm. The number equaled a market share of 15.4%. In the target demographic, the broadcast was watched by 1.18 million viewers and had a 12.5% share. The live broadcast of the women's super-combined event between 12-1:10pm had a viewership of 3.52 million and a 36% market share (QUOTENMETER, 2/11).
