Formula E To Build Headquarters At U.K.'s Donington Park Racing Circuit

Formula E announced that its headquarters and team facilities will be based at the U.K.'s Donington Park Racing Circuit. Construction on the 44,000 square foot facility began Jan. 2. It will provide all 10 Formula E teams with offices, stores and workshops for the circuit's 150 staff members. Additionally, the Formula E teams will use the Donington Park circuit for their testing and development work on the fully-electric Spark-Renault SRT_01E race car (Formula E). IANS reported all work "will be complete by the end of April with the first teams moving in on May 1." Formula E's commercial aspects "will continue to operate out of its London offices" (IANS, 1/23). In Derby, Robin Johnson reported Leonardo DiCaprio "looks set to visit Donington Park." Formula E has teams headed by DiCaprio and entrepreneur Richard Branson (DERBY TELEGRAPH, 1/23).
