TF1 Remains Broadcaster Of French National Football Team Until '18 World Cup

TF1 "has secured the domestic TV rights to all matches" involving the French national football team until the 2018 FIFA World Cup, according to SOCCEREX. The free-to-air broadcaster "has agreed a deal with the French Football Federation for the rights to all friendly matches involving Les Bleus" until UEFA Euro 2016, which France will host, and with UEFA rights holder CAA Eleven "for qualifying matches to the game’s global showpiece in Russia" in '18. The agreements begin in September and will include around 10 games per season, with coverage available across TF1′s online and mobile platforms as well as its main TV channel. TF1 "will also continue to hold a range of exclusive content rights granted by the FFF" (SOCCEREX, 1/3).
