Marketplace Roundup: Hamburg SV Launches Xbox One Competion On Facebook Site

Bundesliga side Hamburg SV launched a special competition on its official Facebook page centered on the new Xbox One console. One Hamburg fan will win two front-row seats at the Imtech Arena for the team's match against FSV Mainz on Dec. 21. During the game's halftime break the winner will take on a Hamburg player on the Xbox One console (Hamburg SV). ... The leading Azeri mobile operator, Bakcell, has signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. The deal "is an extended and expanded version" of the relationship the two parties began in '12, when Bakcell signed a deal to support the U17 Women’s World Cup in the country (SOCCEREX, 12/18). ... League Championship club Ipswich Town "have secured a two-year deal with Fred Olsen Travel." The agreement will see Fred Olsen "become the official cruise and travel partner of the Tractor Boys" (SOCCEREX, 12/18). ... Mazda "has signed a four-year partnership contract" with the Oman FA. Mazda will be the official automotive partner of the OFA for the next four years. The Towell Group, the official distributor of Mazda in Oman, "will give 40 cars to the football association" (TIMES OF OMAN, 12/18). ... British Basketball League club Leicester Riders has announced a partnership with Leicestershire Pukka Pies. Pukka Pies will become the Leicester Riders' official pie supplier and will have branding at the John Sandford Centre and feature on the Leicester Riders website. They will also sell pies at the John Sandford Centre on match nights (Leicester). ... German second-division hockey club Ravensburg Towerstars signed a new exclusive sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines (Ravensburg Towerstars). ... Argentine second division side Independiente announced a sponsorship with chemical company Sika. The one-year contract will see Sika have a presence on Independiente's shorts (OLE, 12/18). ... Insurance company Ageas "has extended its ground-naming partnership deal with Hampshire Cricket to 2022." The deal is a "five-year extension on the original agreement." Ageas has also "extended its brand exposure to a number of new areas including: the main logo position on Hampshire’s two one-day shirts, and naming rights to, and branding on, the new media centre and large conference space in the Hilton Hotel" (POST ONLINE, 12/18).
