NBA To Offer Local Editorial Coverage, Stream Games Online In Australia Via Sportal

The NBA has entered into a multi-year partnership with digital sports content company PERFORM to offer localized content to Australian fans on Sportal, including live streaming of one game per week. Sportal's recently rebranded website will be the official home of the NBA in Australia and feature content from local journalists and bloggers including integrated social media elements such as an Australian Facebook fan page. The page will also feature highlight videos and interviews as well as 24 live regular-season games and up to four playoff games. Sportal debuts streaming live games Thursday when the N.Y. Knicks play the Brooklyn Nets at 11am local time followed by the Miami Heat at the Chicago Bulls at 1:30pm (PERFORM).
