German Hockey League Side ERC Ingolstadt To Extend Deal With Media-Saturn

German Hockey League (DEL) club ERC Ingolstadt "will extend its sponsorship deal with electronics retail group Media-Saturn," according to Gottfried Sterner of the DONAUKURIER. Media-Saturn Co-Founder and former Exec Chair Leopold Stiefel "confirmed the extension on Friday." He said, "I expect that the board of directors will decide to extend the contract at its next scheduled meeting. I haven't heard any negative signals." The 68-year-old added, "The partnership will be extended for another three years, so the club has some planning security." Stiefel "did not provide any financial details of the deal." The company's current deal with the club is valued at €1.5M ($2M) annually (DONAUKURIER, 11/29).
