Tokyo Electric Power Co. is looking at moving its base for the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant crisis operations from a football training center "so the facility can revert to its original function" around '18. With the cooperation of the Japan FA and local governments, TEPCO expects the so-called "J Village" -- located about 20km away from the crippled plant -- to be used by football teams "that will visit Japan for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo" (KYODO, 11/25). ... Sitting volleyball and judo "are set to move venues to resolve logistical concerns ahead of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games." Due to size constraints, "sitting volleyball is set to be moved from the much larger Olympic Hall."
