Marketplace Roundup: FIFA Partners With Labatt Breweries For 2015 Women's World Cup

FIFA has announced a sponsorship agreement with Labatt Breweries for the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada. Labatt will receive extensive marketing rights within Canada for the event (FIFA). ... Premiership Rugby side Harlequins extended its partnership with brewer Greene King through the '16-17 season. Greene King has been a club sponsor since '03. Green King IPA will continue as the club's official beer. The brewer will also join in developing the "quins' Head" supporters' pub facility at The Twickenham Stoop (Harlequins). ... Dubai Aluminium "will continue their sponsorship" of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters for the next three years. World No. 1 Tiger Woods and "the hugely popular" Rory McIlroy will headline "a strong field" when the Classic celebrates its 25th anniversary at Emirates Golf Club from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2 (GULF NEWS, 11/25). ... The Financial Times will be a presenting sponsor of the inaugural World Tennis Day Showdown to be held at London's Earls Court in March. The Financial Times becomes the first worldwide sponsor of the event (World Tennis Day). ... Second Bundesliga club FSV Frankfurt has agreed to a new partnership with Saudia Airlines. The deal with the Saudi Arabia-based airline includes in addition to an aircraft model inside the arena, business seats at the Frankfurter Volksbank Stadium (FSV Frankfurt).
