Franchise Notes: Atlético Breaks Member Record, Expects To Hit 65,000 By Season's End

Numbers show that La Liga side Atlético Madrid fans are "more loyal than ever." The club has broken the record for highest number of members with a total of 62,000 -- 41,512 season-ticket holders, 20,488 without season tickets. The record "will have already been beaten again," as the club's office receives an average of "40 daily requests to join." As "indicated by the trend of recent years," Atlético will pass 65,000 members by the end of the season (MARCA, 11/14). ... EPL Everton has been "officially certified as the healthiest football club to work for" in the U.K. by Health at Work's Workplace Wellbeing Charter. Everton is the first "football club in the country to have been awarded the status to recognise its commitment to employees' health and wellbeing by the Health at Work Workplace Wellbeing Charter" (FC BUSINESS, 11/13).
