Adidas Favored To Return As South African Football Association Technical Sponsor

The South African FA "has started the process of finding a new technical sponsor for the federation after parting ways with Puma," with adidas emerging as favorites to sign a deal with the national football controlling body, according to Ramatsiyi Moholoa of SOWETAN LIVE. Insiders said that adidas, the official SAFA technical sponsor for 12 years until '11, "is more favoured to make a comeback." The official said, "There is interest from adidas to come back, but we want to meet all the three companies, we need a good deal on the table." SAFA officials still have leftover playing kit from their previous sponsors, "and a decision was taken to allow the national teams that play matches before the confirmation of a new technical sponsor to continue using the old Puma jerseys" (SOWETAN LIVE, 11/6).
