Argentine First Division All Boys Players Lift Strike After Agreement Regarding Late Salary

Argentine first division side All Boys players decided on Wednesday morning not to "participate in practice due to the club owing players payments from August, September and October," according to CLARIN. The "delay in payment ranged from three to six months, depending on when players joined the club." Wednesday afternoon, however, the "situation improved: All Boys President Roberto Bugallo met with Sergio Marchi of Futbolistas Argentinos Agremiados (Argentine Footballers Union)." Bugallo: "We made a proposal to the union to address the salary payments that we owe." A term of 15 days was contracted for "payment for the month of August." Once this part is paid, the "other months will be addressed." All Boys players Nicolás Cambiasso and Fernando Sánchez "met with Marchi and accepted the proposal, then decided to return to work Thursday." Former All Boys coach José Romero addressed the topic and said, "Things at the club are going bad. It does not surprise me that the players have taken this measure" (CLARIN, 11/6).
