Audi Extends Deal With German Ski Federation Until '17-18, Partners With Freeride World Tour

Audi and the German Ski Federation (DSV) have extended their collaboration until the '17-18 season. The vehicle handover, for which the athletes came together at the new Audi Gebrauchtwagen :plus Center (Audi Used Cars :plus Center) in Munich, marked the beginning of the 30th year of the partnership. Audi Brand Partnership & Sport Marketing Head Florian Zitzlsperger said, "The association between Audi and the DSV is not only one of the most tradition-steeped ones but also one of the most intensive partnerships in international top-caliber sports. We’re delighted about continuing to support the DSV in the years ahead and wish the athletes the best of success in the Olympic season. We’ve still got a lot of plans together." When it came to choosing their new company cars, all athletes and coaches opted for permanent quattro four-wheel drive. DSV President Alfons Hörmann said, "Audi remains one of the most important principal sponsors of the German Ski Federation" (Audi).

POWDER SNOW: In addition, Audi is expanding its commitment to int'l winter sports. With the beginning of the season in December, Audi will be a partner of the Freeride World Tour. The partnership has initially been agreed for two years. Audi has been giving its name to the Audi FIS Ski World Cup and the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup and is a partner of 15 alpine national teams and presenting sponsor of the alpine Ski World Championships. Through the Freeride World Tour commitment Audi is again setting its sights on a young target group. The '13-14 season will open in Revelstoke, Canada on Dec. 18. Five other events in Europe and the U.S. are scheduled until March. The finale will be held in Verbier, Switzerland on March 22 (Audi).
