Football Notes: Kick It Out Calls To Make FA Commission More Diverse

Kick It Out has written to FA Chair Greg Dyke ­"seeking an explanation for the lack of diversity on the commission set up to investigate the health of English football" (EVENING STANDARD, 10/14). ... Egypt has been instructed by FIFA to "provide security guarantees following Ghana's request to move next month's all-important and potentially volatile World Cup playoff in Cairo to neutral territory because of safety concerns." FIFA has "made it clear it will consider switching the venue" for the Nov. 19 fixture if it is "not satisfied with the security plans" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 10/14). ... Iraq's bid "to overturn a FIFA ban on playing home internationals has won the conditional support of their confederation as the dispute over the country being stripped of hosting the Gulf Cup escalates" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 10/14).
