Event Notes: England Wants To Play Australia's National Team At Wembley

The Australian national football team "could well play the first match under their new coach against England on the hallowed turf of Wembley next month." While it would "still take a chain of events to occur before the match could go ahead, there's a chance of the two sides facing off for the first time since 2003" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 10/14). ... The inaugural Tiger National Futsal Championship will be held at the multipurpose indoor facility Beeline Arena in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from Oct. 28 to Nov. 2, paving the way for the Football Federation of Cambodia to "regulate and promote the shorter version of the game in a structured format" (PHNOM PENH POST, 10/14).
