McLaren F1 team has signed PETER PRODROMOU "as head of aerodynamics but face a battle for his services" with Red Bull. Prodromou has agreed to return to McLaren after working there from '91-06. Prodromou's Red Bull contract does not expire until the end of next year, and with Team Principal CHRISTIAN HORNER "seemingly ready to hold him to it, the teams appear poised for a battle." McLaren Managing Dir JONATHAN NEALE said, "We have to remember the contract Peter has at the moment with Red Bull and I have to respect that" (London GUARDIAN, 10/12). ... Int'l Air Sports Federation (FAI) Environmental Commission Presidnet PIERRE DUVAL has been named to the board of the FAI. Duval joined the Aeroclub de France in '01, where he created a new commission in charge of safety, regulation and environment which he still manages working closely with the French CAA and Cologne-based EASA (FAI). ... The sixth general assembly of the PyeongChang 2018 Organizing Committee has re-elected President KIM JIN-SUN. The meeting also approved President Kim's proposal of re-appointing incumbent Secretary General MOON DONGHOO (PyeongChang 2018).
