The FA has appointed MIKE RIGG as its head of talent identification. The role will be full-time for the first time, and Rigg will start on a permanent basis in January. In a position encompassing both men's and women's national teams, Rigg will oversee and align talent identification at all age groups, coordinate opposition analysis and devise a talent identification pathway (The FA). ... The Board of Control for Cricket in India has appointed RANJIB BISWAL as new Indian Premier League chairman (TIMES OF INDIA, 9/30). ... The Indian Premier League has named M.V. SRIDHAR as its new GM of cricket operations. Sridhar played 97 first-class matches in the late '80s and '90s. He "conveyed his acceptance to the BCCI on Sunday." Sridhar, who is also the secretary of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, "will be based out of Mumbai" (MUMBAI MIRROR, 9/30).
